From Aerosols to Waterloo, discover Wellington's rich history
It is with regret that following the latest Public Health England guidance on Coronavirus, the decision has been taken not to reopen the Museum on
6th April 2020.
The Museum will remain closed until further notice. All Museum events are also cancelled until further notice. Stay safe and look out for news of when we are able to reopen and resume events.
Wellington Museum is a small family-friendly museum located in the centre of town.
Its collection chronicles the town's rich history – including its links to the Duke of Wellington; the development of, what was once, the South West’s biggest woollen mill; the transformation of the townscape, and, how Wellington was home to the last provincial bank in England and Wales to issue its own banknotes.
